Ahhhh. Camping on the beach.
The calming sound of the surf lapping at the shore. The salty, cool breeze playing lightly with the tent fly. The wide-open expanse of the starry night sky. Waking up to an ocean sunrise.
The constant battle against the sandy grit that works its way into every nook and cranny of your gear … and you!
Camping on the beach is a blast; but it requires a certain finesse that is otherwise unnecessary when camping anywhere else (except, maybe, in its arid cousin, the desert).
Having the right gear for beach camping can help tremendously as well – namely, a tent made for the beach.

However, finding one is not always as easy as Googling “best tent for beach camping.”
I’ve found that many of the best tents for pitching camp in an environment with the unique challenges of the beach aren’t labeled as such.
Also, beach canopies and sun shades that do nothing to keep out the sand and provide comfortable overnight shelter are often misrepresented as “beach tents.”
Let me share what I’ve learned in my time as a beach camper so you avoid the mistakes I made when looking for the best tent for beach camping.
OFHQ’s Favorites
If you’re in a hurry and don’t want to slog through all of my super-helpful and informative rhetoric below, that’s hurtful.
But, I get it. Here are our top picks:
1. Core 6-Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent with Screen Room
We’ve been a fan of CORE tents since we stumbled upon them a few years back. Developed by passionate campers who use their own products in their own lives, CORE puts a focus on creating quality tents at an affordable price.
The 6-Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent with Screen Room is, hands down, the best beach camping tent, complete with all the features that make beach camping as comfortable and sandless as possible.
From the integrated vestibule to the generous ventilation throughout, this tent has everything you need to make your beach camping trip one to look forward to.
The best part is that it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg like some of the other “beach tents” on the market. Available in 4 and 6-person models.
- 1-year warranty
- Generous ventilation from floor vents, side windows, and full-mesh ceiling
- The vestibule provides room for changing out of sandy clothing before entering
- Fairly quick 10-minute fairly easy setup
- Not too heavy at 24 lbs.
- Only accommodates one queen-sized camping mattress
- Floor vents can permit fine sand particles if left open in windy conditions
2. Core 11-Person Family Cabin Tent with Screen Room
If the size of your family warrants the philosophy “The Bigger The Better,” when it comes to sleeping space, CORE has you covered with the 11-Person Family Cabin Tent with Screen Room.
This behemoth boasts all of the same great features as its smaller counterpart, just on a much grander scale so that everyone in your family can enjoy a little piece of beach camping paradise – without being crammed elbow to elbow with your siblings.
With a little extra space comes a little extra cost, but this tent is still cheaper than some of the other “beach tents” that don’t have nearly as many features. It’s the best beach tent for big families!
- 1-year warranty
- Massive floor space at 204 square feet
- A spacious vestibule can double as a second bedroom if needed
- Plenty of vestibule space for storing sandy gear or clothing
- Generous ventilation through ground vents, windows, and ceiling
- Heavy at 36 lbs. Not for hike-in camping.
- Fine sand particles can enter floor vents if left open in windy conditions
3. Easthills Outdoors Instant Shader Deluxe XL
For those looking for a place to sit or lie in the shade while enjoying a day trip to the beach, the Easthills Outdoors Instant Shader Deluxe XL is the perfect solution.
This pop-up shelter sets up in mere seconds and provides plenty of room for four beach chairs, a cooler, and all your other beach gear.
It’s not going to do you much good if you’re looking for overnight accommodations, but it’s the perfect solution for a day at the beach.
The blackout lining on the interior blocks almost 100% of direct sunlight making it a great place to take a catnap or read a book while the kids play in the sand.
It’s also available without the blackout lining for those that want to let a little more light in.
- 1-year warranty
- XL in this case really does mean bigger
- Accommodates 4 people comfortably
- Lightweight at 8 lbs.
- Darkroom coating blocks 90% of direct sunlight
- Porch floor doubles as an enclosure for full privacy
- Very stable in gusty conditions
- None that we could determine ... it's our favorite!
4. Sun Ninja Beach Sun Canopy
A beach-bum minimalist’s dream come true, the Sun Ninja Beach Sun Canopy is the ultimate in keep-it-simple beach shade.
This simple canopy sets up in seconds and provides enough shade for four to six people.
It doesn’t have any built-in flooring or walls, but if all you’re looking for is a place to get out of the sun, it’s hard to beat the Sun Ninja.
It’s also hard not to look at it. You’ll turn some heads for sure.
- 1-year warranty
- Available in 4-person (7W' x 7.5L' x 5.5' H) and 8-person (10'W x 10'L x 6.5'H)
- Lightweight at 7.2 lbs.
- Super-simple and relatively fast setup
- It looks weird in a cool way
- Pricey; but, it is a truly unique, quality product
- No shade is provided on the sides
The Line-Up: The Best Beach Tents of 2022
A quick note: the tents we reviewed are larger, family-sized models best suited for families with children.
Still, many of them come in smaller models better suited for camping couples or those who prefer buying multiple smaller tents rather than one big one.
On another note, all of the following camping tents are made of water-resistant materials that are typical of the industry. Like with any camping tent, leaks will develop over time requiring the seams to be re-taped and sealed.
No tent is waterproof it’s whole life long.
1. Coleman Rocky Mountain 5 Plus
Important Features:
- 5-person capacity (more like 4 comfortably)
- Fully-integrated ground sheet
- 4500mm waterproofing
- No-see-um mesh windows and vinyl windows
- Large vestibule
- Dark-room bedrooms
- 6 gear pockets
- 1-year warranty
- Domed shape and plentiful guylines provide excellent stability in strong winds
- Entry lip can be laid flat to easily sweep out sand and positioned upward to keep sand out
- A large vestibule serves as a barrier from sand getting into the back bedrooms
- Fully enclosed design ideal for keeping sand at bay
- Can accommodate 2 queen-sized camping mattresses
- Heavy at 37 lbs. Not recommended for hike-in camping.
- Relatively long set-up time (10-12 minutes min.)
- A fully enclosed design means less ventilation. A camping fan is recommended.
- Pricey
While inspired by the mountains, the design of the Coleman Rocky Mountain makes it an ideal family tent for the beach.
The Rocky Mountain’s domed shape and multiple guylines provide excellent stability in strong winds, a common occurrence at most coastal camping sites.
And the entry lip can be laid flat to easily sweep out sand and positioned upward to keep sand out.
A large vestibule with large windows serves as a barrier from sand getting into the back bedrooms, and the fully enclosed design is ideal for keeping sand outside where it belongs.
This tent can accommodate 2 queen-sized camping mattresses without taking up any room in the vestibule, making it one of the more spacious models on this list.
However, the Coleman Rocky Mountain 5 Plus comes with some trade-offs:
The fully enclosed design and clear vinyl front windows means less ventilation, so a camping fan is recommended during warm, breezeless weather.
At 37 lbs., the Rocky Mountain 5 is one of the heavier tents on this list, making it less than ideal for hike-in camping.
And the relatively long set-up time (10-12 minutes min.) can be challenging if you happen to be in a hurry to set up camp.
But if you’re looking for a spacious, stable, and relatively sand-proof tent for your next beach camping trip, the Coleman Rocky Mountain 5 Plus should be at the top of your list.
2. Coleman Steel Creek Fast Pitch Dome Tent with Screen Room
Important Features:
- 6-person capacity (more like 4 comfortably)
- Center height 4’11”
- Pre-attached fiberglass poles and fast-pitch hub
- Screened-in vestibule
- High-positioned ventilated mesh windows
- 1-year warranty
- Fast-pitch design deploys in half the time of traditional tents
- Accommodates 2 queen-sized camping mattresses
- The vestibule provides a handy "mud-room" for trapping sand
- Domed shape provides excellent wind deflection
- High-positioned mesh windows make it harder for sand to get in
- A bit lighter (19 lbs.) than others in its class
- Center height (4'11") is not ideal for us taller humans
- The lack of ventilation vents on the floor means less ventilation. A camping fan is recommended.
Lots of room that goes up quickly: the Coleman Steel Creek Fast Pitch Dome Tent with Screen Room is a great choice for those who want a spacious and easy-to-set-up tent for their next beach camping trip.
The Steel Creek’s fast-pitch design deploys in half the time of traditional tents, thanks to its pre-attached poles and fast-pitch hub. It’s domed shape makes it more suitable for high winds.
And it can accommodate 2 queen-sized camping mattresses without taking up any room in the vestibule.
The screened-in vestibule provides a handy “mud-room” for trapping sand before it gets into the main living area, and the domed shape of the Steel Creek helps deflect gusts of wind typical of the beach.
High-positioned mesh windows make it harder for sand to get in, as well as the lack of mesh vents at the base. However, this also means less air flow when sleeping at night. Still, this is nothing a simple camping fan can’t resolve.
Overall, the Steel Creek is a great choice for those looking for an easy-to-set-up, spacious beach-conducive camping tent.
3. Columbia Mammoth Creek Cabin Tent
Important Features:
- 6-person capacity (more like 4 comfortably)
- Accommodates 2 queen-sized camping mattresses
- 6.5 feet of interior height
- UPF 50+ UV protection
- Numerous mesh ground vents and high-positioned windows
- Straight-wall design maximizes space and head room
- Great ventilation, especially with rainfly removed
- Pull-out windows maximize ventilation even during a downpour
- Tub-style floors provide added protection against sand
- Ground vents can allow fine sand particles in if left open in windy conditions
- No vestibule for changing out of sandy clothes. Recommend a camping rug.
Excellent ventilation is the defining feature of Mammoth Creek, making it an ideal tent for sweltering temperatures on the coast.
The straight-wall design of the Mammoth Creek maximizes space and headroom, while the numerous mesh ground vents and high-positioned windows provide incredible airflow.
In fact, with the rainfly removed, this tent provides some of the best-ventilation in our review. And even during a downpour, the pull-out windows on the sides of the tent maximize ventilation by facing the mesh downward and providing a rainproof overhang.
Tub-style floors are another nice touch, providing added protection against sand and other debris getting tracked inside.
On the downside, ground vents can allow fine sand particles in if left open. And there is no vestibule for changing out of sandy clothes. However, a camping rug placed just outside the door can mitigate this.
Overall, the Mammoth Creek is an excellent choice for beach campers who want a tent that won’t turn into an oven during hot weather.
4. Core 6-Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent with Screen Room
Important Features:
- 6-person capacity (more like 4 comfortably)
- Almost 6.5 feet of center height
- UPF 50+ sun protection
- Screened-in vestibule
- Panoramic mesh ceiling
- Gear loft for storing small items
- 1-year warranty
- Generous ventilation from floor vents, side windows, and full-mesh ceiling
- The vestibule provides room for changing out of sandy clothing before entering
- Fairly quick 10-minute fairly easy setup
- Not too heavy at 24 lbs.
- Only accommodates one queen-sized camping mattress
- Floor vents can permit fine sand particles if left open in windy conditions
Like the Mammoth Creek, the Core Cabin Tent is supremely ventilated, making it more comfortable when it’s taking direct sunlight or when the nights are warm and still.
In addition to the floor vents, there are large side windows and a full-mesh ceiling that provides panoramic views and excellent airflow.
The screened-in vestibule is another great feature, providing room for changing out of sandy clothing before entering the main living area.
And while the Core Cabin Tent can accommodate up to six people, it’s more realistic for four campers to sleep comfortably.
One final note, the Core Cabin Tent comes with a one-year warranty, which is always nice to have.
Overall, the Core Cabin Tent is an excellent choice for beach camping, especially if you’re looking for a tent with a screened-in vestibule. In fact, it’s our Top Pick!
5. Core 11-Person Family Cabin Tent with Screen Room
Important Features:
- 11-person capacity (but only if you utilize the vestibule)
- 7-foot center height
- UPF 50+ UV protection
- Panoramic mesh ceiling
- Mesh gear loft and pockets for small items
- 1-year warranty
- Massive floor space at 204 square feet
- A spacious vestibule can double as a second bedroom if needed
- Plenty of vestibule space for storing sandy gear or clothing
- Generous ventilation through ground vents, windows, and ceiling
- Heavy at 36 lbs. Not for hike-in camping.
- Fine sand particles can enter floor vents if left open in windy conditions
It’s like having your own beachfront chateau! The Core 11-Person Family Cabin Tent with Screen Room is one of the largest and most spacious tents in our review.
And while it’s technically designed to accommodate up to eleven people, we think it’s more realistic for eight campers to sleep comfortably.
The vestibule is generous in size and can easily double as a second bedroom if needed. And there’s plenty of space for storing sandy gear or clothing.
The Core 11-Person Family Cabin Tent is also supremely ventilated, with ground vents, windows, and a full-mesh ceiling.
However, because of all the ventilation, fine sand particles can enter the floor vents if they’re left open in windy conditions.
Overall, the Core 11-Person Family Cabin Tent is an excellent choice for beach campers who want a spacious and comfortable tent for large groups.

If you’re interested in tents that feature pop-up or instant deployment to make setting up camp easier, check out our post on The Best Instant Tents. Here you’ll discover some of the best camping tents that can be set up in a few minutes, letting you get to relaxing faster!
Day-Camping Tent Alternatives: Beach Canopy or Sun Shelter
Camping overnight on the beach is not for everyone. Or, perhaps, you just have time for a quick daytime beach trip.
If you’re only spending the day at the beach and just need some respite from the sun for a picnic or a midday catnap, you’re likely to benefit more from a simple canopy or sun shade rather than a full-blown camping tent.
These structures are far lighter and can be set up in a fraction of the time, making them ideal for day-use only.
And because they don’t have all the features (and weight) of a camping tent, they’re typically more affordable as well.
1. WolfWise 4-5 Person Easy Up Beach Shelter
Important Features:
- Quick pop-up deployment
- Interior dimensions of 8.2′L x 4.4′ W x 4.4′ H
- UPF 50+ UV protection
- Lightweight construction
- 3 sandbags and 4 guylines with tent stakes
- 3 zippered windows
- 4 mesh gear storage pockets
- Carry bag
- 2-year warranty
- Ultra-fast setup, even single-handedly
- Surprisingly light at 8.5 lbs.
- Impressively stable in wind gusts
- Agreeable price point
- While it claims to accommodate 4, it's better suited for 2 large and 2 small humanoids
Quick. Easy. Lightweight. The WolfWise 4-5 Person Easy Up Beach Shelter is, as its name suggests, incredibly easy to set up and take down.
In fact, you can do it single-handedly in just a few seconds thanks to the pop-up design.
But while it’s quick and easy to set up, the WolfWise 4-5 Person Easy Up Beach Shelter is also impressively stable in windy conditions.
Thanks to the 3 sandbags and 4 guylines this shelter will hold its own against gusts of up to 25 mph. The WolfWise 4-5 Person Easy Up Beach Shelter also features 3 zippered windows for ventilation and 4 mesh gear storage pockets.
But the best feature of this shelter is its weight. At just 8.5 lbs, it’s one of the lightest quality beach shelters we reviewed.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to escape the midday sun, the WolfWise 4-5 Person Easy Up Beach Shelter is a great option.
2. Pacific Breeze Easy Set-Up Beach Shelter Deluxe XL
Important Features:
- Fast pop-up deployment
- Interior dimensions of 7.9’L x 4.3’H x 4.3D
- UPF 50+ protection from UV rays
- 2 internal pockets for gear storage
- 5 large sand pockets and stakes
- 3 large closeable windows
- Carry bag
- 1-year warranty
- Easy to deploy singlehandedly
- Lightweight at 6 lbs.
- The front porch floor can double as a front enclosure for privacy
- Despite the XL in its name, it's actually smaller than others in this list
- Not really made for 4 people. Perfect for 3 sitting side by side.
- A little pricey
A tad bit smaller than the WolfWise and 2 lbs. lighter, the Pacific Breeze Easy Set-Up Beach Shelter Deluxe XL is another excellent choice for those looking for a quick and easy way to get out of the sun.
Like the WolfWise, the Pacific Breeze can be deployed in seconds thanks to its pop-up design. It also features 2 internal mesh gear pockets and 5 large sand pockets for stability in windy conditions.
Notably, it does not make use of guylines which means less tripping and sandy face plants when walking around the shelter. While the corner stakes help with stability, we wonder how the Pacific Breeze would hold up in the Pacific wind … (I’m so punny.).
This shelter also has 3 large closeable windows for ventilation as well as privacy, and while it claims to accommodate 4 people, it’s actually better suited for 3 people sitting or laying side by side.
The Pacific Breeze beach tent is also semi-unique in that the front porch floor can be used as a front enclosure for additional privacy.
If you’re looking for an easy-to-setup and use beach shelter, the Pacific Breeze Easy Set-Up Beach Shelter Deluxe XL won’t disappoint.
3. Easthills Outdoors Instant Shader Deluxe XL
Important Features:
- Speedy pop-up deployment
- Interior size of 8.25’L x 4.4’D x 4.8’H
- “Darkroom” coating provides UPF 50+ sun protection
- 3 large closeable mesh windows
- 5 mesh pockets for gear storage
- 3 sand pockets
- 4 adjustable guylines and tent stakes
- Carry bag
- 1-year warranty
- XL in this case really does mean bigger
- Accommodates 4 people comfortably
- Lightweight at 8 lbs.
- Darkroom coating blocks 90% of direct sunlight
- Porch floor doubles as an enclosure for full privacy
- Very stable in gusty conditions
- None that we could determine ... it's our favorite!
Easthills Outdoors has received a lot of glowing praise since they rolled out their Instant Shader Deluxe XL.
This is a well-deserved reputation as the Instant Shader Deluxe XL is one of the best beach shelters on the market.
Like the Pacific Breeze, it can be deployed in seconds thanks to its pop-up design and features an interior size of 8.25’L x 4.4’D x 4.8’H which really does accommodate 4 people side by side on beach towels or chairs.
It also has 3 large closeable large mesh windows, 5 mesh gear pockets, and 3 sand pockets. What sets the Instant Shader Deluxe XL apart from the Pacific Breeze is its use of “darkroom” technology.
This special coating blocks 90% of direct sunlight which means it can keep you cool better than other shelters.
The Easthills Outdoors Instant Shader Deluxe XL also comes with 4 adjustable guylines for added stability in windy conditions and a porch floor that doubles as an enclosure for full privacy.
At 8 lbs, it’s one of the heavier shelters on our list but given all of its features and positive reviews, we think it’s well worth the weight.
4. Outdoor Master Pop-Up Beach Tent
Important Features:
- Easy pop-up setup
- Interior size of 7.9’L x 4.4’H x 4.3’D
- UFP 50+ protection from UV rays
- Large, closeable mesh windows
- Porch floor doubles as a privacy curtain
- 2 overhead mesh gear pocket
- 3 built-in sandbags, 4 guylines, and corner stakes
- Affordable price point
- A simple, no-frills design
- More comfortably fits 3. Not much space for a family of 4 or more.
- Less gear storage than other models
- No warranty information that we could find
A very popular, low-priced, no-frills, pop-up design, the Outdoor Master Pop-Up Beach Camping Tent is a great choice if you’re looking for an easy-to-use shelter.
It features an interior size of 7.9’L x 4.4’H x 4.3’D which can comfortably accommodate 3 people (4 if you like it snug), large closeable mesh windows, and a porch floor that doubles as a privacy curtain.
It also has 2 overhead mesh gear pockets, 3 built-in sandbags, 4 guylines, and corner stakes.
Although advertised as a pop-up beach tent, we emphasize that it is actually a sun shelter in our technical use of the term, not a fully enclosed pop-up tent.
5. Sun Ninja Beach Sun Canopy
Important Features:
- Strong, stretchy water-resistant spandex canopy
- 4 aluminum poles
- 4 pegs (for non-beach use) and bungee cords
- Shovel (for filling bags with loose sand)
- Carry bag
- 1-year warranty
- Available in 4-person (7W' x 7.5L' x 5.5' H) and 8-person (10'W x 10'L x 6.5'H)
- Lightweight at 7.2 lbs.
- Super-simple and relatively fast setup
- It looks weird in a cool way
- Pricey; but, it is a truly unique, quality product
- No shade is provided on the sides
I first spotted a Sun Ninja on Galveston Island in June of 2022. I watched as the owners pulled what looked like a stretchy mass of shapeless blue skin from a bag along with 4 poles and a shovel.
Within minutes, they had filled four large pockets of the “skin” with loose sand and, standing the 4 poles up right underneath the fabric, almost instantly erected the most alien-looking shade canopy I had ever seen.
It looked like a headless quadrupedal alien with large, bulbous elephant-feet.
Don’t ask me who decided it resembled a Ninja.
The Sun Ninja is a super-simple and relatively fast setup beach sun shelter that is available in 4-person (7W’ x 7.5L’ x 5.5′ H) and 8-person (10’W x 10’L x 6.5’H).
It’s made with a strong, stretchy, water-resistant spandex canopy and 4 aluminum poles.
The larger 8-person version weighs just 7.2 lbs and comes with 4 pegs (for non-beach use), bungee cords, and a shovel for filling the sandbags. It’s also large enough to provide ample shade for a picnic table and then some.
It also has a 1-year warranty and comes with a carry bag.
The only downsides are the high price tag and the lack of side shade and adjustability to block the moving sun.
But, if you’re looking for a truly unique product that will turn some heads, the Sun Ninja is definitely worth considering.
Beach Camping Accessories for a More Comfortable Experience
Sand and sun. They’re why we love going to the beach and, if not prepared, it’s why we leave hating it.
Here are a few beach camping accessories that can help make your experience more comfortable and ensure you’re still in love with beach camping when it’s time to pack it up.
1. Coleman ComfortSmart Camping Cot
Sand will get into your tent and, despite your best efforts, into your sleeping bag.
If it’s left on the floor that is.
A camping cot offers the perfect solution by elevating your sleeping bag (and you) off the ground providing a barrier of space between you and the grit.
Most cots, however, have small feet that can puncture the tent floor during use due to the soft sand underneath.
Coleman’s ComfortSmart Camping Cot is supported by bars that extend across the width of the cot, distributing your weight over a greater area, saving the floor of your tent.
A cot also provides a level sleeping surface as opposed to the shifting lumps of sandy ground. Even with an air mat, sand is miserable to sleep on.
Plus, with a cot, you’ll be sleeping like a baby with the added ventilation of sleeping off the ground and in a bag that is grit-free.
2. RovTop 12″ Rechargeable Indoor/Outdoor Floor Fan
There will be times that windy conditions will threaten to drive grit through your tent’s mesh windows or an unforeseen rainstorm will force you to put on the rainfly and close the windows, killing your ventilation.
And in the warm, humid climates of most beaches, this is the worst.
A rechargeable fan means the difference between sleeping in a breezeless, tepid tent and snoozing comfortably with the circulated coolness of a camping fan.
On a breezy, fair-weather night, it’s the difference between good ventilation and great ventilation.
- Charges in 2.5-3 hours and runs 4.5 to 18 hours depending on speed
- 360° adjustable head moves air at 3,500 CFM
- Variable speed controls with LED battery life indicator
- Integrated LED lights help to illuminate a dark tent at night
- Rugged ABS body is built for rugged outdoor use
The RovTop Rechargeable Floor Fan has a built-in 15000mAh battery that can provide up to 18 hours of use on the low setting and 4.5 hours on the high setting.
It’s also USB-rechargeable, so you can plug it into a power bank if your campsite doesn’t have an outlet.
The RovTop is lightweight, durable, and can be used as an indoor or outdoor fan, making it a great choice for beach camping.
3. Orange Screw Sand Stakes
Have you ever watched as a fellow beach-bum frantically chases his tumbling tent down the coastline after a stiff breeze lifted it from its flimsy hold on the sand?
Have you ever been that guy?
Most tents come with smooth metal or plastic stakes that are rendered almost pointless in shifting sand.
Orange Screw’s Sand Stakes, on the other hand, have large threads that grip and secure your tent in sandy conditions. The storage tube doubles as a two-handed auger to making it easy to drive the screw-stakes deep and firmly into the sand.
We highly recommend these for larger tents or tents with a straight-wall cabin design that act like sails when the wind picks up.
4. OXO Good Grips Compact Dustpan and Brush Set
I am the proud father of two high-energy boys.
Boys who like camping.
Boys who like to perpetually enter and exit the tent resulting in more sand in the tent than out.
I consider my mini dustpan and broom essential beach camping gear.
Get one.
5. POMO Portable Camping Shower
Some beaches provide them. Some don’t.
And anyone who has ever tried to wash the sand out of their crevasses and swim trunks by bathing in ocean water knows …
… it don’t work like that!
Nothing beats washing the salt, sand, and sweat off with fresh water. You’ll be glad you brought one along.
6. The Original Sand-Free Outdoor Camping Mat
If you choose a tent without a vestibule, a camping mat makes for a great place to de-sand the family before entering the tent.
Not your typical rug, a camping mat allows sand to fall through without allowing it back up, making it great for cleaning off sandy feet and, even better, showering on with your portable camping shower.
- The Original – This mat started the sand-free revolution and remains the ultimate sand-free beach blanket
- Patented System – High-density weave allows sand, dirt, and dust to fall through the fabric without coming back up.
- Made to ensure ultra – durability, quick drying time, and resistance to water, and UV damage.
- Heavy Duty D Rings – double-reinforced heavy-duty corner D Rings, perfect for staking down in extreme conditions.
- Numerous Size Options – Comes in 2 colors and 4 size options: SMALL (for 3 persons), MEDIUM (for 6 persons), LARGE (for 10 persons) and XLARGE (for 14 persons).
Position it right in front of your tent’s entrance and congratulate yourself on being a family-beach-tent-camping wizard.
7. Black+Decker 20V Max Handheld Cordless Vacuum
A mini-broom and dustpan work great on a relatively flat tent floor; however, the first time that you find your beach-weary six-year-old decided to curl up on your sleeping bag for an afternoon siesta without washing all that fun-in-the-sand off his tanned little hide …
… you’ll be glad for the extra cleaning power of a good handheld vacuum.
It works great for sucking sand out of that shock of curly blonde hair, too!
Let’s Hit the Beach!
We hope you found this list of essential beach camping gear helpful.
Whether you’re planning a solo excursion or a family getaway, these items will help make your trip more comfortable, enjoyable, and — dare we say it? — luxurious.
Now get out there … and cowabunga!
